Michael Clayton

August 6, 2009 Leave a comment

Screenwriter Tony Gilroy delivers a finely tuned directorial debut with this dramatic thriller about burned-out corporate lawyer Michael Clayton (George Clooney), a man who’s built his career on cleaning up other people’s messes. When a guilt-ridden colleague (Tom Wilkinson) threatens the settlement of a multimillion-dollar case, Clayton faces his biggest challenge yet. Tilda Swinton nabbed an Oscar for her turn as a conflicted general counsel.

This movie is just great. I just love George Clooney. It starts off a little slow but the end is just amazing. I give this movie a B+/A-. Watched it on BD

Harry Potter: Half-Blood Princess

More like half blood bullshit. I know it will set up for some epic battles but this movies is utter shit. It is too long, more like a teenage high school movie, and where is the fight scenes? Spoiler, there is none. Except for some minor wand flicking. I give this movie a F. It was borderline a love romantic drama story than a boy trying to become “The One.” Lord of the Rings is better, even thought it is all walking. It had some epic battles.

Felt a little confused about the story of Harry Potter so I am going to rewatch the movie series. Going to be a while so check back later.

Wolverine/X-Men: Heroes Return Trilogy

July 28, 2009 Leave a comment

The X-Men are back to being animated. This series does something different. It focuses on Wolverine being the leader instead of Professor X. About the show itself. It is made by Marvel and released on Nickelodeon. Kind of surprised they didn’t put it on Cartoon Network. Maybe because of WB own Cartoon Network and that’s DC Land

I haven’t seen the show on the TV because I just found that it was on Nick. I got it from Netflix. Wolverine/X-Men: Heroes Return Trilogy is the first DVD and only has 4 episodes. They are doing it in volumes instead of a complete season. I have the next one, Wolverine/X-Men: Deadly Enemies, coming in tomorrow from Netflix.

About the show, I liked it. I thought it was pretty good. Sort of looks Manga like. The series first started of from the movie Hulk Vs. A must if you are a fan of the animated Marvel characters.

SPOILERS:
Something weird goes down where Professor X gets teleported at the school is destroyed. Jean is also removed to somewhere. At the end of the 4th episodes, Magneto is holding Professor X but he landed at his door step and has been keeping him safe. Once they get back to the school, a vision of Professor X from the future, where he awakens, tells that they have to stay together or all hope is lost for mutants.
SPOILERS END
